James Kallman

James Kallman is the Senior Advisor of PT. Moores Rowland Indonesia, and responsible for managing the business. He has helped build the firm into the fifth largest in Indonesia

Prior to establishing Moores Rowland Indonesia, James Kallman was a Director of Standard Chartered International Trustees Limited {Branches in Hong Kong, Singapore, Channel Islands (Jersey), Zurich, Cook Islands} in charge of business development worldwide and was liaison director for all non-commercial banking subsidiaries. While in China, James Kallman worked for Price Waterhouse in charge of international tax and business consulting services serving all the firm’s multi-national clients doing business in the People’s Republic of China.

A veteran of nearly 25 years in the Indonesian business milieu, James Kallman gained considerable celebrity as host of the popular TV talk show, Moores Rowland Point Blank. James Kallman is currently a monthly columnist for Forbes Indonesia, writing on subjects ranging from local political, social and business issues to world events. Through his media participation, James Kallman has gained considerable skill in communicating and socializing issues to the general public.

Marzuki Usman

Dr. Ir. H. Marzuki Usman (born 30 December 1943 in Mersam, BatanghariJambi) is an economist and expert on capital markets. He also served as Minister of Tourism, Post and Telecommunications (Development Reform Cabinet) and the Minister of Forestry and Plantation (Cabinet of National Unity). He is the current chairman of the Jakarta Stock Exchange and serves in several roles in a politically non-partisan capacity.

Marzuki Usman applied to the Faculty of Economics at Gadjah Mada UniversityYogyakarta. He graduated in 1969 with an economics degree specializing in Money and Banking.

He was employed by the Indonesian government until, encouraged by Indonesian economists, Johannes Baptista Sumarlin and Prof. Dr. Ali Ward, Usman won a scholarship from the Ford Foundation to study at Duke University, Durham, North Carolina, where he earned a Master of Arts in Economics in 1975.

1.       Marzuki Usman employed by the Indonesian Ministry of Finance in the department of the Directorate General of Finance in 1969. His continued employment within various ministerial departments led him to later become 'Director of Investment and State Property' and 'Director of the Institute of Finance and Accounting'.

2.       He was the head of the Capital Markets Management Agency (Bapepam Bapepam), within the Ministry of Finance from 1988-1992 and the head of Education and Training Finance (IRB), also within the Ministry of Finance, from 1991-1995.

3.       While head of the Capital Market Executive Agency (Bapepam) he is said to have created the stock exchange's 'Golden Era'; introducing reforms and new practices.[3] He was the creator and regulator of capital market instruments which enabled rapid growth and an increase in transaction speeds.

4.       In 1993 He was appointed as the commissioner of the Jakarta Stock Exchange(BEJ) and in 1996 he became the head of Monetary and Financial Analysis, again for the Ministry of Finance.

5.       Under Indonesia's Third President, B. J. Habibie, Marzuki Usman served as Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture (Men Parsenibud), from 1998-1999.

6.       In 1999 he was appointed Minister of State for Investment / Head of the Investment Coordinating Board ( BKPM ) and in 2001 Ministry of Forestry.
